Tourist Travel Requirements for an Cambodia Visa for Irish Citizens

  1. Mandatory Digital Arrival Card Requirement

    All travellers to Cambodia are required to apply for a mandatory E-Arrival Card within 7 days before arrival. The E-Arrival card can be applied for here free of charge.


    Please note that: 
    • The E-Arrival card applies only to air border crossings (airports). Tourists entering Cambodia through river border crossings must fill out the usual paper form on arrival.
    • The E-Arrival card is not an electronic visa, it is simply an electronic form replacing the paper form that travellers had to fill out at the airport upon arrival.
    • All travellers, even those with an issued electronic visa, must complete the E-Arrival card

  2. Appointment System

    The Embassy requires that all individuals applying for their visa appear in person to submit the application . Applications are accepted at the Embassy in London by appointment only. After we have received all the materials required in support of your visa application, CIBTvisas will schedule an appointment with the Embassy to submit your visa application.

  3. Overseas Processing

    There is no Embassy representation for this destination in Ireland. All applications are processed abroad using our CIBTvisas office in England. Overseas courier fees of €75.00 + VAT per order apply in addition to the fees listed

  4. Passport

    The applicant's actual signed passport. The passport must:

    • Be valid for six months beyond exit date
    • Have at least one blank visa page

  5. Photograph(s)

    You must provide one colour, passport type photograph that meets the following criteria:

    • Be taken within the last three months and printed on high quality photo paper
    • Be taken against an all white background
    • Be 35 mm by 45mm in size
    • Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
    • You may wear neither spectacles nor headwear except for religious purposes
    • Your photo should not be affixed to your application and it may not display evidence of adhesive or staples

  6. Proof of Travel Arrangements

    Details of travel arrangements. These must be provided as:

    • A colour copy of the flight confirmation showing onward/return travel
    • All documents required for the next destination

  7. Health Declaration

    This must be provided as a Health Declaration form that can be found in the CIBTvisas Application pack. Applicants must handwrite the following statements onto the declaration form along with the travellers full name, signature and date.

    • "I agree to complete with these requirements"
    • "I confirm that I will purchase COVID insurance prior to my arrival in Cambodia"
    • "I confirm that I have US $2000 cash for deposit at airport upon arrival in Cambodia"

  8. Visa Application Form

    One fully completed and signed application form

  9. Supplementary Form

    One fully completed and signed supplementary form entitled "Requirements for enter into Cambodia from 15 November 2021"

  11. Visa On Arrival

    It may be possible to obtain your visa upon arrival under limited circumstances. Visa requirements and travel restrictions vary greatly when obtaining an on arrival visa. In addition, local immigration officials also hold the right to refuse entry to anyone for any reason.

    Due to concerns around coronavirus and COVID-19 many nationalities are forbidden from obtaining a visa on arrival. Anyone who has travelled to regions affected by COVID-19 are unlikely to be allowed to enter. We strongly recommend that you obtain your visa prior to departure. Should you choose to obtain your visa upon arrival, you will need to inquire with your airline if boarding is allowed without a visa

  6. Business Introduction Letter

    You must provide a Business Introduction Letter from the applicant's Irish employer. All letters must be printed on company letterhead that displays an Irish postal address. Use the sample Business Introduction Letter provided at https://cibtvisas.ie/forms?formname=Business%20Introduction%20Letter%20Sample.pdf to complete your letter.

    Note that most consulates require the Business Cover Letter to be dated within one month of application submission.

  7. Letter of Invitation

    A letter of invitation from the company the applicant is visiting. A copy is acceptable. This letter must:

    • Be addressed to the High Commission
    • Be on company letterhead paper
    • Include the name of the applicant
    • Include an acceptance of immigration responsibility for the applicant
    • State the purpose of journey
    • Be dated
    • Bear the stamp of the inviting company
    • Bear the signature and full printed name of the inviting party

  8. Health Declaration

  1. When is the best time to apply for my Cambodia visa?

    The best time to apply for your Cambodia visa is 1-2 months before your travel date. However, if you are running short on time, we may be able to process your visa on a faster service at the Embassy’s discretion.
  2. Do I have to send you my passport to get a Cambodia visa? Is it safe to send a passport?

    Yes. You will need to send your actual passport, not a copy of it. The Cambodia visa is stamped on your passport and will become one of your passport pages. Visa request cannot be processed without your original passport. Because of the importance of your passport, we strongly suggest that you send your application by a secure method, such as a guaranteed postal service or courier.
